ATTENTION PET OWNERS:

Be a responsible pet owner and pick up after your pets.  We are beginning to get complaints about dog feces not being cleaned up from homeowners’ property and/or public areas. When walking your animals, bring along a baggy or pooper-scooper to pick up their feces. It is a City Ordinance to clean up after your pet. 

According to Norman City Ordinance No. O-0809-18, § 4: “It shall be unlawful for the owner, keeper, or person having control of any dog or cat to permit such dog or cat to defecate upon any sidewalk, public park, street, alley, or other place open to the public, or on private property without the permission of the owner thereof. In the event that the owner, keeper, or person having control of a dog is unable to prevent the deposit of fecal material in violation of this section, it shall be the duty of such person to properly collect and dispose of such waste material.”
